I was recently offered a Buck 100 lockback knife at a good price and decided to take the plunge and have a proper look at one. It arrived this morning and although I’ve seen and handled many cheap copies of the distinctive American classic, I was quite surprised about a few things.
The first thing that struck me was the size of the thing. Measuring 5″ (12.5cm) closed, and 8.5″ (21.6cm) open, it absolutely dwarfed my UKPK. The biggest surprise though was the weight – 7.5oz (136g), much heavier than I expected too!
